Hindquarter Yield – Stage 3 – Working Through Some Common Problems
10.58 minutes – In this video Angie helps two students work on the Hindquarter Yield Stage 2. She gets the students to ride a small square. They walk forward then slow the walk down then stop, hesitate and then yield their horse’s hindquarters, then hesitate before walking forward again. Angie coaches them through some common problems that happen when working on this exercise such as the horse walking forward at the end, the riding using their inside rein rather than their outside rein and the rider holding the reins for too long causing the horse to back up.
