Steering Exercise – Loops at the Canter & Transitions
10.14 minutes – In this video Angie coaches a student through a steering exercise of making loops at the canter. This exercise helps the horse become more responsive to the outside steer aids. This exercise also helps the horse to slow down in the canter because they have to transfer more weight onto their hindquarters and lighten their shoulders in the canter.
In this video Angie also works on upwards and downward transitions without causing brace in the horse or rider.
